How Will I Receive My eCard?
You will receive an email with your eCard via the American Heart Association, not Performance Occupational Health Services (POHS).
You will be responsible for claiming your eCard and saving it for your reference; eCards are sometimes diverted to your spam folder, so please check there before inquiring with your instructor.
-
How Long Does It Take To Get My eCard?
Instructors order eCards after completion and payment of class. Once ordered, cards are processed through the American Heart Association.
Please allow up to one week for your eCard to arrive; be sure to check your spam folder. If it has not arrived after one week, contact your instructor to check on the status.
-
What If I Don't Really Use Email?
The participant agrees to provide accurate and complete registration information, including an email address for eCards to be sent to.
Each participant must have their own email address. Multiple cards cannot be sent to one email address

I Am A First Responder, Which Course Should I Take?
First responders, such as fire, police, and emergency medical personnel, typically need to complete a Basic Life Support (BLS) course. (It's important to check with your employer or licensing authority to determine the requirements.)
Note: First Aid is not included in BLS CPR courses.
-
I Need BLS CPR And First Aid, Do You Offer This?
We do have a special class that combines these two certifications. This is usually required for Pre-Healthcare students. Please email our instructor to schedule.
-
What Class Options Do You Offer?
We offer full in-person courses and blended courses. If you sign up for a blended course, it is your responsibility to purchase and complete the online portion prior to your skills evaluation session. Send the certificate to your instructor or print it and bring it with you to class.
-
What Happens If I'm Unable To Perform High-Quality CPR?
Successful completion of the course, including passing the exam for certain classes, is required to receive certification.
If a participant is proving unable to perform necessary physical skills for CPR and/or First Aid, they may be subject to remediation up to and including discontinuation.
If you are discontinued from the course, you will not receive a refund.
-
I Need To Cancel/Reschedule Class.
Refunds or rescheduling may be allowed but are subject to our refund policy. We ask that you give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel.
-
What Is The Minimum Age To Learn CPR?
The American Heart Association (AHA) does not set a minimum age for learning CPR. The ability to effectively perform CPR is more dependent on physical strength than on age, and research indicates that children as young as nine can successfully learn and remember CPR techniques.
-
Can I Bring My Spouse/Child/Friend To Class?
Only the person enrolled in the course may attend the in-person session. Children and other additional individuals may not accompany the registered student, unless they have also enrolled and intend to learn.

I Might Need Accomodations For Class
